This has been a roller coaster week for me. I had one song (Ray LaMontagne) planned for this weeks link up for TWO WEEKS now. With everything that's happened, I can't possibly just choose one. Enjoy my compilation of songs that are helping me get through what I'm facing this week.

Well the truth it fell so heavy
Like a hammer through the room
That I could choose another over her
You always said I was an actor, baby
Guess in truth you thought me just amateur...
((Thanks Jordan for sharing this song with me!!!))
You cry yourself to sleep
'Cause the hurt is real and the pain cuts deep
All hope seems lost with heartache your closest friend
And everyone else long gone
You've had to face the music on your own
but there is a sweeter song that calls you home, saying
You're not alone for I am here
let me wipe away your every fear
my love I've never left your side
I have seen you through the darkest night
and I'm the one whose loved you you're whole life
all of your life.
This video is incredible. Not just a music video, but Matthew West partnered with Samaritan's Purse to highlight the devastation people experienced with the tornadoes last year. After watching it, it made me realize we all experience different forms of devastation whether it be emotional, physical, or spiritual. We sometimes feel as if we can't do it anymore and our problem is too big for us to handle. It's never too big for God. Two nights ago after hearing some hurtful words spoken about me, I cried out to God and begged him for mercy. I begged him to take this pain away from me and to give me relief. To remind me it is not my burden to bear and that He has a plan. I woke up the next morning feeling so incredibly at peace and refreshed. I hope if any of you reading my blog have heavy burdens weighing on your heart, that you give them to God and experience that peace. XO
God is with us!
I can do all this through Christ who gives me strength.
