Before this blog...

...there was "This Army Life."

Many of you didn't know I blogged before this blog. I did. It documented my life as a newbie military girlfriend turned eventual military wife. I learned while dating M that the transition between the two was a rough one. As a girlfriend or FW (future wife), you are not considered part of the DOD. It's a tough spot to be in. A lot of girls struggle with it and that blog continues to get dozens of readers a day and comments from girls struggling with their boyfriends in BCT (basic combat training) or on their first deployment.

I'm so glad I documented all of it. To be honest, I kinda forgot it even existed. It seems like such a foreign, distant part of my life. At the same time, it's always there as I am an entirely different person for having experienced life as a military spouse.
