Not So Wordless Wednesday - Hurricane Charley

I. Am. So. Excited.

While cleaning some boxes, I found an old disc FULL of images from when Romeo & I were first dating. SQUEEL! Can't wait to share those. Anyway, one of the craziest experiences of my life was when Florida was hit with THREE hurricanes in 2004. During Hurricane Charley, I stayed with Romeo and his family to ride out the storm. It was CRAZY. We lost power for over a week and nobody could come in or out of our street due to a giant tree being downed and a power line. We had to walk through the neighbors bushes to get anywhere. The cleanup was a royal pain in the butt. No hot water, no air conditioning. It was gross.

Yeah. Cleaning up leaves and branches by hand was AWESOME.

When this tree came down we were standing by the sliding glass door. Not cool.
