So, Nick and Vanessa Lachey. Did anyone else watch the show on Saturday?
Kate and I chowed down on some amazing Qdoba and then proceeded to shovel TCBY DIY during the wedding. I would have much preferred some champagne and wedding cake to be honest. Just sayin'.
Anyway, obviously Nick is a hottie and Vanessa is gorge. The show was INCREDIBLY emotional and I found myself crying a lot. I had no idea she had so many issues with her family. So sad. None the less, they had an incredible, beautiful, and intimate wedding. I loved it. I'm tellin' ya...destination weddings are the way to go. I loved that they were so "normal" and it seemed like they had a tropical down home feel to their nuptials.
However, I still can't get past the elephant in the room. Nick+Jessica = Awesome. I miss them as a couple. I know, I know. That sounds super weird but in talking to other girl friends, I'm not the only one. I was OBSESSED with Newlyweds and finding all of her outfits, purses, and even adopting her "Oh my gahh." Yeah. I know. I'm calling myself out here, but I was what? 15? Anyway, it was a great show and even though they are celebs, little things like that make me have some sort of hope in love.
I think they'll last and Kate and I have bets they'll have babies like tomorrow.

I agree. My girlfriends and I have been talking all about Nick and Jess, it just wasn't the same...there was just something about them! During Newlyweds era I wanted everything she had!

I finally watched their special last night and I was getting annoyed with myself because it seemed like every 2 seconds I had tears in my eyes either over my sadness for her or for my happiness for them. They genuinely seem happy. I know WHY they didn't do it but a sneaky side of me wanted to talk more about Jessica cuz this girl needs some closure- I was enamored with them and then BAM! They are done and she's off datin' God knows who! I guess I'm not on the Nick and Vanessa train. Here's to Nick & Vanessa: A Baby Story!

OMG I LOVED Jessica Simpson back in the day! I have ALL 3 seasons of Newlyweds on DVD AND her wedding book!!! I was really bummed when they split up but I'm happy for Nick and Vanessa. I have to say I was really surprised when TLC started advertising about their wedding show cuz up til now they seem to have been hiding from the spotlight?? Oh well either way I wish them all the best! Apparently Jessica is engaged too???
