Operation Homefront Buddy Drive - Please Help!

Hello everyone,

I am so enthusiastic and excited to give you guys details of the fundraiser and drive I've been working on.

Most of you know I was married to someone who served this country with honor during his tour of Iraq in 2008-2009. He returned a very different person, a wounded warrior, with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. This is only ONE of the many facets of life changing events some of our heroes are returning with. Other Wounded Warriors return with Traumatic Brain Injury, loss of limbs, loss of sight, and much more. This takes a TREMENDOUS toll on the families. Wives turn into caregivers and children's lives are completely altered. 

This is why I've partnered with Operation Homefront and their Wounded Warrior Wives program (which helped me immensely) to bring a smile and extra comfort to the children of our wounded. 

So, how can you help?

I'll be taking orders from now until August 8th, 2011 for Scentsy Buddies. Each Buddy will be delivered to a child of a wounded warrior.

Scentsy Buddies are $25 + tax and shipping. You can choose to sponsor an entire buddy, part of a buddy, or several buddies. You will be able to choose which Buddy you'd like sent to the child you sponsor. The options include:

If you'd like to include a handwritten card or a special note, you may. You can mail them to me or I can write a message for you.

You can purchase a buddy online by doing so through the "Operation Homefront Buddy Drive" link on my Scentsy website OR by sending me an e-mail at ShanStinson@yahoo.com. If you choose to order through my Scentsy site you will be charged for shipping, you MUST have the Buddy shipped to my home address, which I can provide to you privately.

I am in the process of having a flyer created. Once it is approved, I will post it here and gather e-mail addresses of those who would like to have it sent to them for their use. PLEASE help by spreading the word on your blog, Twitter, in your office, amongst your family and friends, etc. I will be creating a Facebook event as well. Once I do, please consider inviting everyone on your friends list to help with this cause. 

My goal is 100 Scentsy Buddies. I KNOW we can do this.

I will also be donating all commission earned from the buddy drive to Operation Homefront's Wounded Warrior Wives program. If we meet our goal, that's an additional $500! This can help a family in need of home repairs, a car, dental work, or even a much needed retreat for a few wounded warrior wives.
