Engaged!

No, not me sillies. One of my most favorite people in the world...

I am so excited that my Wendykins is getting married. You may recall a week or so ago I wrote on a Wednesday, that I was loving that someone very special to me was soon to be engaged :) Well, he popped the question and she said yes!!!

The way he proposed :) So sweet. He hand wrote her a special love poem, "How Do I Love Thee?" by Emily Browning.

Such a pretty ring! Sometimes, I say it is even if I'm not a fan but SERIOUSLY...love her ring. It's so very her :)

I could not be happier for someone for SO MANY reasons. Wendy is an amazing girl, someone who loves God, works hard, and will make an incredible wife. Ryan is one SERIOUSLY lucky guy and I plan on reminding him of that often.

I am so happy to be taking part in this moment because of the relationship Wendy and I have had. We've endured some really hard times together. Even though her brother ("Romeo") and I decided to go our separate ways, our friendship remained. However, there were times when I turned my back on her trust AND our friendship. Times when I was really hurt by some harsh, angry words that were spoken. We went from the absolute up & up of best friendliness to the absolute pit of anger and hurt. Through it all, our friendship has taught me what forgiveness is all about. Someday, I might feel comfortable diving into the depths of what I mean, but for now...just know it really is a testament of God's love, grace, forgiveness, and meaning of friendship we're where we are today.

I have been looking forward to this moment for a while now. Ever since we were on our cruise and she revealed to me she thought they'd soon be engaged. It's no secret I'm a bit jaded when it comes to marriage, but seeing her happy and knowing how much she deserves it, makes me believe...just a wee bit ;-) I'm excited to be a part of her big day (assuming I get an invite, LOL) and to witness what I know without a doubt will be one beautiful wedding and one STUNNING bride.
