So, as you know I spent the past weekend in my most favorite city in the world. I hadn't been back since leaving with M in February 2010. WAY TOO LONG. Anyway, here's a few pics from my awesome weekend.
Seeing this makes me exhilarated. It means I'm "home."
Last time I went by the White House, I couldn't get a good snapshot. This one was awesome!
@ the Smithsonian Native American Museum
Mmmm. Frozen margi's!
American Girl opened up this weekend @ Tysons Corner. People lined up overnight and the lines wrapped around the building ALL DAY!
Out with my old roomie @ Murphy's Pub in Alexandria.
Chuckin' deuces.
Shotzky's! We met some super cool people @ Murphy's and went back to their place after to party until the sun came up. LITERALLY. Not to worry, they were a married couple, another couple, and friend. Prior military, so we had LOTS to chat about.
Boobie shot! Had one too many of these and paid for it on the golf course the next day.
Mmmm. Thai Iced Tea.
Yayyyyyyyy! Mi amor, Reina @ Semper Gumby
Heaven = Cupcakes Actually. Been craving them since the day I left.
As you can see, I had an absolutely amazing time. It was hard to leave, which I expected. I have to find a way to get back there as soon as possible. I'm so motivated to get there, get settled, and begin what I know is supposed to be my life's mission.
There aren't any pictures of my time at the US Open. Cameras are not allowed on match days. It was A BLAST and the weather was fantastic. Seeing Rory clench the title and make history was awesome. Only bummer was having a massive hangover and puking in the porta potties. YUCK! That's what partying until 6:30am will do to you.
And...whenever I need a massive self-esteem boost, I just need to wear my fedora and walk down King Street in Alexandria. HOLY GOODNESS. I couldn't walk 5 feet without a guy asking us to party with them, go back to their place, or yell from their car about my "clap clap." At first, I thought it was some smug reference to an STD, but then realized it was my booty. HAHA. Anyway, it was HILARIOUS and quite an interesting walk. Jenny & I couldn't stop laughing. Good times.
I have a friend who MIGHT be spending the next year in DC starting in September....IF her plans go through I hope I will have the time to go out there for a visit!!!!! I'd LOVE to see the White House in person!!!!! Glad you had an awesome time!!!! xoxo
