I've been jamming out to Jason Michael Carroll's song "Where I'm From." It's been stuck in my head since re-watching Tim Tebow's ESPN documentary. Uh, yeah...I DVR'd it ;-) Anyway, it's inspired me to write a post about where I'm from.

Everyone always asks Floridians if we spend all of our days at Disney. The answer is no. We usually avoid it at all costs. I do love Disney and held passes when I was growing up but really loved Sea World too as it was right by my house.

I was really lucky to go to school here. It has been one of the top schools in the area for quite some time. If I could go back and do it all over again, I would in a heartbeat. I loved high school.

I lived there for 24 years and left because I was really tired of it. I also felt I was being dragged down by living there and wanted to get away from it all. The high school I went to was a Laguna Beach of sorts. Everyone in everyone's business and it's still that way. Everybody still dates everyone. Marries one another (I did). And some people still haven't grown up. I just needed a break. Would I ever go back for good? Probably not. Never say never but as much as I have fun visiting, I don't feel it's really where I belong. I did have some amazing times with some amazing people, but things have changed now. It will never be that way again.
