The Royal Wedding - Part Two - The Guest List

I'm enchanted by this wedding and have no shame in saying so. Part One, which you can read here, was all about Catherine's dress. Being that the complete list of names was released this week, I figured we'd chat about who is and who isn't on the coveted guest list.

First the breakdown of invite protocol...
Her Royal Highness, The Queen of England gets a mere 50 invites.
Followed by Prince Charles & Camilla (ick, still shutter when I hear those 2 mentioned together) receive a whopping 250.
William and Catherine (Ugh, sounds so regal doesn't it?) also receive 250.
And finally, Kate's parents are allotted 100. More than the queen herself!


So who is going to be in attendance?

Oh...and yeah. All FIVE of William's ex girlfriends AND TWO of Kate's ex boyfriends. HUH? How do you guys feel about that decision? I mean, I obviously know it doesn't matter what we think but it's something people are buzzing about. First, I didn't have a wedding but if I did, I'm not sure I'd go as far as inviting all of my exes or even one of them. In a perfect world, I do have an ex who is still a very close friend and when I marry in the future...it would be nice if he were able to come. BUT...the other side of me says HECK NO! I'm starting a brand new life with someone amazing. I sure do not need someone from my past such as this involved in my new life. What do you guys think?

Onto who WON'T be there...

I know guys. I'm just as confused as you are. It must be some sort of accidental mistake on William and Kate's part. ;-) Oh well, there's always hope for Harry right?

Sources say that the couple is really trying to stay away from a crowd full of celebrities and keep it people who are truly special in their lives. William is inviting former nannies, headmasters, coaches, and regular everyday folks who have helped them as a couple in this journey. I think that's awesome and what weddings are truly supposed to be about.

Stay tuned for another installment or two before the big day arrives. I'll be on my cruise and we are planning on having a massive celebration. Our theme night that night is specifically for the Royal Wedding and I plan on getting up SUUUPER early to take in all the pomp and circumstance on TV...or perhaps just never go to sleep the first night :) I can't wait!
