I love the game of golf. I have always dreamed of becoming a Tigress Woods. Unfortunately, my game is lacking. I truthfully have only gone to the driving range a few times and obviously never played a full 18. I need clubs and that's something I've been craving for a while and something that in my world, is expensive. I had the perfect opportunity to learn while I was in Orlando so now I'll have to hold off until I'm dating someone who golfs or I move somewhere else.
Anyway, today was the Master's which is one of my favorite tournaments. My friends Megan & Tim live in Augusta where the tourney takes place and next year, I'm shackin' up with them for sure. My favorite under-rated golfer is Adam Scott. He's a hottie and an Aussie and has been one of my faves for years now, though hardly ever gets any recognition. He did phenomenal today and was thisclose to winning the coveted green jacket.
I had someone on my Twitter mention that golf is not a sport and I have to disagree vehemently. It's not only a physical sport but an incredibly mental one. Have you ever walked 18 holes on a golf course? I have many, many times and I'm exhausted after the first few. It looks so easy, but when you actually get out there...it's not.
I've been to many amazing courses thanks to an incredible job with the LPGA. I've also been a spectator at Bay Hill since I lived in Orlando. This year, I'm making a dream come true and visiting the 2011 US Open when it takes place at Congressional Country Club in Washington, DC. I cannot wait.
Here's a few of my fave shots while enjoying the game.

I'll be sharing a lot of old memories and old pictures over the next few weeks and a lot of them have to do with the game of golf. Can't wait to share <3

i so wish I could play golf!
ReplyDeleteGolf is so a sport. I played high school golf all four years. I also played soccer, softball, cheerleading, poms, basketball and volleyball throughout my life....I was always more tired after golf than other sports any day.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite line ever "He's a hottie and an Aussie" --- bah hahahaha!!! Has me literally laughing out loud - love it!!!
