Marriage & Men ~ A sermon by Mark Driscoll of Mars Hill Church

A new friend of mine shared this incredible sermon with me. I am about halfway through and wanted to post the link for others to view if they so desired. I realize it's not everyday someone wants to sit and watch an hour and a half long sermon, but this one is so important. It's aimed at the men out there, but also helps the women to realize the types of qualities she should seek in a boyfriend or spouse.

The first video is the entire sermon which runs about 90 minutes. You really should watch it in its entirety.

The second clip SHOCKED me. I won't lie. I absolutely froze and almost burst into tears watching it. I wasn't prepared for a pastor to go completely bananas when speaking about men who abuse women. Watch for yourself.

7 Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers.

  1. I DID burst into tears when I watched it over and over and over again until it sunk in what kind of man I was married to.

  2. HI, I just watched this for like, the fourth time the other day. I am a Mark Driscoll junkie. I just found your blog by searching for other bloggers who appreciate his teaching.
Good for you for posting this.
I swear, if more pastors taught this forcefully to their men.
    Love it!
